Dr. Mark Dilworth - Founder & Owner
Dr Mark Dilworth, former operator of the Beaches Animal Hospital and current owner of Kahu Animal Hospital in Yorkville, has centered his entire life around animals and their welfare. Presently, Mark and his partner Dave have seven dogs and two cats, and the walls of their home are covered with photos of their previous dogs. They find special joy and fulfillment in taking on dogs with behavioural issues or health concerns that might be considered unadoptable or otherwise in need. Come Play Stay was an endeavor for Mark, Jen, their friends, and family that implemented their dream of having a new modern doggy daycare and boarding house in the beaches community they both have grown to lov
Jennifer Ego - Founder & Owner

Derek - Daycare Manager
Pictured with his dog Koda, Derek has lived in the beach’s community for nearly his entire life. He has a multitude of experience with dogs having worked in Veterinary Clinics and Veterinary Emergency Hospitals for over 5 years. Derek is trained in dog CPR and emergency protocol. Having dogs his entire life, Derek has become a sort of dog whisperer. He sees the benefit of socialization for dogs in the daycare setting and strives to work with any anxious dog one-on-one to ensure they feel comfortable in the daycare. Koda, his current Border Collie, absolutely loves ‘working’ at the daycare with Derek. Koda has become quite the staple, playing nicely with all dogs at the daycare and even correcting those that play a bit too rough.

Katelyn - Daycare Attendant
Pictured with her dog Dewey, Katelyn has spent the past seven years working in animal care including roles at the Toronto Humane Society in Admissions & Re-Homing, where she met Dewey. She has hands on experience in dog daycares, which has deepened her understanding of canine behaviour and care.

Julia - Daycare Attendant
Pictured with her dog Roach, Julia has had dogs her whole life and is trained in dog behavioural analysis. She has spent over a year professionally training dogs, providing boarding and daycare services. With a lifetime of experience and three amazing dogs of her own, she brings both knowledge and genuine love to every pup she works with.

Kari - Daycare Attendant
Pictured with her partner James and her dog Lady, Kari is a lifelong animal lover originally from Winnipeg. Kari has always felt a deep connection to animals from caring for rabbits and guinea pigs as a child to volunteering at the Winnipeg Humane Society and a no-kill shelter as a teenager. Today, she continues to open her heart and home by fostering dogs of all shapes and sizes, while caring for her beloved 12-year-old dachshund mix, Lady.
